With BIM software, we are able to do everything AutoCAD can do but better. We give our client an immersive experience being able to break down the project into a 3D model. From there we can go down to the 2D form to create architectural drawings or go even further to create renderings or walk-throughs for our clients.
Process for Architectural Drawings
1. Design Consultation Service (Field Visit)
We are one of few companies that do not charge for an initial consultation (within 50 km of East Gwillimbury). From here we discuss what you have in mind for your project and what challenges you may face along the way. Having experienced staff, we can discuss with you what you will need for inspections before the drawings are even started. Customers usually say that after the initial visit " I know a lot more about my house than I did before" and we take pride in that.
Getting back to the design consultation, we usually include 2-3 BIM ideas for certain key points of your project to narrow in on what you are after for your project. We take the necessary steps to make sure you are confident in your decision and to confirm that is indeed what you are after for your project.
2. Architectural Drawing Phase
Having a fully licensed and qualified team behind you is powerful. We are BCIN-certified to produce architectural drawings in Ontario per the Ontario Building Code (OBC). We specialize in residential construction but can do small commercial projects if needed. We produce architectural/ construction drawings that you can submit to the town for permitting. Keep in mind, even the most experienced architects have drawings come back with a list from the town. We do all necessary revisions and continue with the process until your permits are in your hands. The quote we give you includes architectural drawings, an EEDS form, and a Schedule 1 designer form for you to submit.
3. Mechanical, Civil, Engineering
A lot of our previous projects have needed mechanical, civil or engineering drawings to sign off on projects. Most of the time, it's town specific but if needed, we can provide these set of specialized drawings for all of your projects. We do our best to avoid the need for engineering and stay within the limitations of the Ontario Building Code but project specific details may require an engineer to sign off on drawings which we can provide.
